Tuesday, April 17, 2012 13:20 - On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, Station 18 was alerted to respond with Ladder 18 on the 3rd-Alarm assignment at Wilmington Friends School in North Wilmington. Upon arrival, Ladder 18 took position on the Charlie side of the building and placed the aerial to the roof. Ladder 18's crew was then assigned, along with members from 23-5, Tower 19, and Wilmington Fire Department, to advance two hose lines into the second floor of the school's auditorium. Crews were met with fire conditions and worked to contain the fire until master streams were placed in service.
Ladder 18's crew worked for three hours, performing suppression and overhaul activities. A job well done by all at the scene.
