Over the last 24 hours, Good Will has responded to three water rescues. The first occurred Sunday afternoon in the Delaware River for a vessel run aground on a sandbar. The second was Sunday night at approximately 10:40pm, 18 Marine 2 was alerted to assist Minquas Fire Company #1 for a vessel run aground in the Christina River. The crew from 18 Marine 2 was able to use the shallow draft of the Zodiac to get close to shore and retrieve the occupants. The third rescue was this morning to assist Port Penn Fire Co with a vessel run across the Augustine Jetty. The crew from 29 Maine 1 was working on dewatering operations upon the arrival of 18 Marine 1. One member from 18 boarded the vessel to assist with the dewatering operation while the others set up to tow. The operator from 18 Marine 1 towed the vessel into the Delaware City Marina where the vessel was turned over to Tow Boat US.
