Ladder and Engine Respond to 2nd Alarm Commercial Fire

Friday evening just after 7pm, Ladder and Engine 18 were dispatched to assist Wilmington Manor Fire Company on a Commercial Structure Fire at the Dollar Tree in Beaver Brook Plaza. Upon arrival of the first units, crews reported heavy smoke showing and a second alarm was transmitted. Ladder 18 arrived in the rear of the building, forced entry into the rear, and then made their way to the roof to ventilate. Engine 18 arrived and stretched an additional supply line and then set up to supply Ladder 28’s aerial. Crews worked for hours operating portable master streams and opening up. Both units operated until 1am at the fire scene.
