One Trapped on I-295

Friday, June 7, 2019

Squad 18 assisted Holloway Terrace Fire Co. on an overturned tractor trailer with entrapment. Upon arrival, ALS 13 and B-22 confirmed entrapment. Multiple crews worked extricating the patient while New Castle County Paramedics provided patient care. Cranston Heights Rescue and Squad 14 were on radio in the area training and were requested to make the response due to the extent of the entrapment. Rescue Engine 28 also responded and assisted with stabilization. Rescue Engine 12 and USAR 13 also made the response but were canceled. The patient was extricated and turned over to EMS. The patient was air lifted to the local trauma center.
